We are deeply shocked by the news of yesterday's events. Our thoughts are with the children, families, school and community affected by the horrific attack.
The scenes that followed are extremely disturbing. These events were orchestrated by a small faction with a specific agenda, actively whipping up hate on social media that spilled into the streets in real life last night. They DO NOT represent the majority of people in this country who welcome and embrace all that migrants bring to our communities.
Now more than ever is a time for us to come together and look after one another. We'll be checking in with our Ukrainian guests and friends today and making sure they know how much we cherish them. We encourage you to do the same with anyone in your community who might need it right now.
