"Imagine If" - Our Legacy Impact Report

When we began our journey in March 2022, we couldn't have imagined the extraordinary movement that would follow - ordinary people across Ireland opening their homes and hearts to displaced Ukrainians in an unprecedented display of compassion and solidarity.

Our "Imagine If" report captures this remarkable story: over 3,000 displaced Ukrainians housed in almost 1,500 Irish homes directly through our efforts, saving the State at least €53 million while creating genuine community connections that transcend the traditional refugee response. Through 20,000+ hours of support via our phoneline, roadshows, peer networks, and resources, we transformed grassroots goodwill into a structured, sustainable model - proof that when people are supported to help each other, extraordinary things happen.

This report isn't just about what we've accomplished; it's about what's possible when we trust in community-led solutions. As formal funding for our role in this response has now ended, we're proud to share what we've achieved together and what could still be possible with appropriate investment in the right people - those on the ground, doing the work, building the connections.

The results speak for themselves - when communities like ours are properly supported with resources, expertise, and trust, they deliver solutions that work more effectively and humanely than top-down approaches ever could.
